Home Communication Week 6

Welcome to Week 6,

We are now 4 weeks away from the end of the year - which when we look at what is coming up, it is fair to say... we will be quite busy! All of our production preparation is well underway, and we have the Year 8 Dinner and Waltzing in full preparation mode also.

EMERGING LEADERS PATHWAYS -
These are due at 9am on Monday. Please note - as per the guidelines in this doc, students who have not covered ALL of the 5 Leadership areas WILL NOT receive a medal. To complete a short recount of an event outside of school, will not meet the criteria for an Emerging Leaders medal. Most of the Leadership Challenge tasks take a series of sessions to complete, so if the work has not been done, it would now be too late. Each student has been kept up to date, with the areas that they are lacking in.

TENNIS CUP -
There are 15 of our team who are going to be playing off for the Senior Tennis Cup this year! Please ensure your child has their racquet at school everyday, as they will need to play off in every available moment possible!

IMPORTANT
2019 TEAM ASPIRE CAMP -
All Year 7's have taken home a newsletter regarding our Term 1 Camp in 2019. This is an expression of interest for parent help, and it needs to be returned so that we can check off anyone that needs police vetting. Please ensure this is returned to us ASAP if this sounds like you! You can find this letter HERE. It is vital we have parent help for this camp to go ahead.

AGRICULTURAL CUP -
Those who are participating in the animal section of the Agricultural Club this year will have pony judging this Friday after school at 4pm. Sheep and Calves are also being at this time. PONY PROJECTS are due on MONDAY.
NOTE ALL GARDEN PROJECTS ARE DUE ON MONDAY ALSO

SEESAW -
Over the last couple of weeks, you will have seen some action up on Seesaw! We are currently completing our end of year summary reflections in the areas of Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. It is great to read about the progress that our team have made this year, and we thank those of you add feedback to your child - it is very motivating for them!
Leadership/Inquiry will be done shortly also.

SUN HATS -
This term is a 'Sun hats' term, so please ensure these are at school ready to go each day. Year 8's who have earned their caps, are more than welcome to wear these as a sunhat. We have lovely new shade sails going in at school, and these will be the areas, for those who don't wear their sun hats, to sit in.

CELL PHONES AT SCHOOL -
We are reminding all children that as per their ICT Digital Device Agreement, they are required to sign their cell phones in at the Office, on arrival at school in the morning. If children are found to be flouting this agreement, they will be expected to leave cell phones at home indefinitely. Your support in this area is appreciated... these children know who they are...!

YEAR 8 PARENTS -
Remember to pop your name into the google doc that was sent to you in the holidays! Thank you so much to those who have done this already! We are needing more parents to assist with the 'pack down' of the MPF on the Tuesday, so please consider if you can help out in this way.

We still require many Year 8 baby photos - please have this done by the end of this week - those of you who are yet to do this have been emailed.

Have a lovely weekend see you next week.
Kristie, Vikki, Lynn.
