Welcome to Week 5 in Aspire! After a crazy week of weather last week, there seems to be a more settled outlook to the weather this week! Just in time for our Senior Swimming Sports on WEDNESDAY at 10am sharp. REMINDER - Non-championship events are one length. Championship events are of two lengths, and only these swimmers will be considered for the Pegasus Zone Event in March. ALL NON-CHAMPIONSHIP and CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS ARE TIMED HEATS, therefore there are no finals.  MINT PRESENTATIONS -  Students who are interested in participating in MINT this year, need to have their speeches ready to present to the existing MINT team on THURSDAY at 1:30pm. This is the only time allocated for these presentations, so students will need to prioritise this if they are keen. YEAR 8 LEADERS -  Both Vikki and I are in the process of viewing all of the job applications that our Year 8's submitted last week. The sharing of this will form part of our assembly this week on Friday! YEAR

Welcome to Week 4 in Aspire! We have had a fabulous start to our year here in Aspire, with last weeks Leadership week culminating in some FABULOUS speeches from our Year 8 Leaders for 2018 on Friday afternoon! Our Year 7's had a wonderful week exploring what leadership is, and then spending time with their Launch buddy on Friday, getting to know them. We are really excited about the initiative our students are already showing in their Leadership journey, and how freely they are using the Leadership Language. You will notice the 5 Leadership categories on your child's Pathways Goal Sheets that came home on Friday, it is this language that we are referring to in all that we do.  Year 8 Parents please note -  After the Leadership speeches last Friday, Juliana and Linda shared information regarding Wellington Camp at the end of the year. It is vital you read and understand this information. You can read newsletter and fundraising information HERE.  We have

Welcome to Week 3 - LEADERSHIP WEEK in Aspire! WOW - what an amazing Aspire Team Building Experience we had last week! The weather was perfect, the activities were challenging, and we had a whole lot of fun! A HUGE thank you to all of the amazing parents who helped us during this time, it was wonderful to be a part of the experience with you! Thank you also, to our wonderful hosts Belinda and Matt Stott, who kindly opened up Hibburt Park to the Aspire Invasion - we had a blast! Look out for your child's SeeSaw post later this week, that shares their learning with you. LEADERSHIP WEEK -  Vikki and I have developed a super Leadership programme for all of our Aspire students to participate in this week. Each year level will have their own focus, and there are times when both Year 7 and Year 8 students will be learning alongside each other. By the end of this week, all of our students will know their personal strengths and areas to develop under the 'Studen

Kia Ora Whanau and welcome to Week 2! After a cracker of a week last week, let us hope that our fine (although not as hot) weather continues for our camp this week! Here is what is happening this week… CAMP - We will continue to prepare all students for our Camp at Hibburt Park this week. By now your child should know their tent group, and their food groups. We appreciate your support in helping them get ready for this experience. It is VITAL that all children bring the ingredients/equipment that they have told their group, they will bring. Remember - a letter came home last Friday to outline all you need to know, however if you have a question, please ask! LEADERSHIP/EMERGING LEADERS - On our return from camp, we will launch into our Year 8 LEADERSHIP Module, in addition to our Year 7 EMERGING LEADERS Module. We have activities planned that will join the Year 7 and 8’s together for part of this week also. REMEMBER - Year 8 Leadership speeches AND Year 8 Cam
