Home Communication Week 1

Welcome back to Term 4, Week 1! 
This term is certainly one of the busiest in Aspire, however we will be regularly updating you with what is to come. We will have a calendar of events at the bottom of each weekly communication, so that you can start to pop things into your diaries. 

SUN HATS - 
This term is a 'Sun hats' term, so please ensure these are at school ready to go each day. Year 8's who have earned their caps, are more than welcome to wear these as a sunhat. We have lovely new shade sails going in at school, and these will be the areas, for those who don't wear their sun hats, to sit in. 

CELL PHONES AT SCHOOL - 

We are reminding all children that as per their ICT Digital Device Agreement, they are required to sign their cell phones in at the Office, on arrival at school in the morning. If children are found to be flouting this agreement, they will be expected to leave cell phones at home indefinitely. Your support in this area is appreciated. 

YEAR 8 STUDENTS - 

At the end of Term 3 you were handed a package of information for Camp Wellington. Please ensure all BEHAVIOUR CONTRACTS and HEALTH FORMS are returned to school ON MONDAY. 

YEAR 8 PARENTS - 

Remember to pop your name into the google doc that was sent to you in the holidays! Also, don't forget the baby photo of your darling Year 8 rascal!  Please ensure these are sent to us via email ASAP as a JPEG (photo) or if you prefer bring it to school in a NAMED envelope and we will scan this for you. 

SEESAW - 

This week we will share our Term 4 Goals with you via Seesaw. Please note that some of these are continuing from Term 3, and there is a big PRODUCTION focus in the Leadership and Inquiry goals. 

ATHLETICS - 

Our school Athletics day is TUESDAY 23rd October. A newsletter came home with this information in it, however if you have misplaced this you can find the information here. 

We will begin our Athletics practice rotations ON MONDAY - so please ensure children have a correct footwear (and perhaps deodorant) each day. 

GOOSECHASE! 

In Aspire we will be conducting some learning experiences using the app 'Goose chase' and it would be helpful if each student can download this FREE app onto their personal devices, for week 1.

* WEDNESDAY : School Community Special Assembly - Canon Equipment Prize

* FRIDAY : Show Day

WEEK 6 - 

* FRIDAY : Lamb, Calves, Pony Judging - AGRICULTURAL CLUB

WEEK 7 - 

* WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY : Garden Judging - AGRICULTURAL CLUB

WEEK 8 -  

* TUESDAY : Production Night - Venue, Time etc to be confirmed

* WEDNESDAY : Canterbury Athletics Championships

WEEK 9 - 

* MONDAY : Aspire Fun Day and Year 8 Dinner

* TUESDAY : Wet and Wild 

* THURSDAY : Prize Giving Assemblies - Afternoon and Evening 

* FRIDAY : LAST DAY! School finishes at 12:30pm
