Week 4 Home Communication
Welcome to Week 4!
What a wonderfully informative week we had last week - Kaiapoi High students came to chat to Aspire regarding what happens at High School, in readiness for next year for our Year 8 children. Our Year 7's also sat in on this, and some wonderful questions were asked.
On Tuesday, John Parsons came to school, and ran a Cyber Awareness workshop with Aspire and that evening he hosted a superb parent evening. It has been wonderful to hear the feedback from those of you who went, and he has easily been, one of the best speakers we have heard on this topic!

On Tuesday evening 4 of our students participated in the EPRO8 Technology Challenge! Vikki has made a fun video about this, which we pop up on our team website this week!

"On FRIDAY JUNE 1st, myself and Ben Ryder are running a canteen as part of our leadership project. A pre order sheet came home last week with your child. If your child would like anything please fill out and send back to myself or Ben on MONDAY 21st MAY - with the money."

COMING UP THIS WEEK -
CROSS COUNTRY -
This is an annual event at Clarkville, with many of our students opting to run the 'extra lap' to qualify for the Pegasus Zone event later in the term. This event takes all morning, with children arriving back at school during the lunch break.
KAIAPOI MUSIC FESTIVAL PRACTICE
This is on Tuesday morning from 9am - 12:30pm. You will have received notices about what children need to be ready for this.
WINTER SPORTS and OPTIONS -
These programmes both begin this FRIDAY. Those involved in Winter sport will be getting uniforms this week - please ensure these are washed after each game, and cared for carefully. Parents who have put their names down for umpiring and supervision will get an email outlining the draw for the week.
