Week 7 Home Communication
Welcome to Week 7!
Clarkville School Twilight Gala - 23 March 2018
We rely on a lot of community support to run the gala. Recently, an email was sent home with how you can help, to see this information go to https://clarkvillepta.weebly.com/twilight-gala.html . There are plenty of ways your family can be involved. Please get in touch with Krissie to let her know how you can help.
In Matawara, we are charged with bringing $5 per family to help contribute to our Gala. This money will go towards purchasing the shortfall of items still needed for the Gala.

TEAM UPDATE -
It is very hard to believe but we are past the half way point of the first term of this year! We are not quite sure where the time has gone, however when we reflect on what we have done with the team, it is clear we have been busy!
Here are some of the highlights that the team have identified under the umbrella of 'Leadership'... no wonder we are feeling it!
SWIMMING SPORTS -
After a fabulous school swimming sports in week 5, we had a team of swimmers head to the Pegasus Swimming Sports last week. We now have a team of swimmers heading to the Canterbury Champs in April!
TRIATHLON PRACTICE -
We will be holding two BIKING practices on TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY this week at lunchtime. If any children would like to participate in these please bring bikes on Tuesday and place them on the grass behind ASPIRE if the bike stands are full.
NOTICES -
As usual, we have more notices coming out to you... remember, Triathlon and Gala notices are due back. Thank you for keeping up with these.
LEADERSHIP PROJECTS and EMERGING LEADERS PATHWAYS -
Some children are making great progress towards these! Please note the following...
YEAR 8 - Goal and Purpose are due at the end of THIS WEEK to Vikki.
YEAR 7 - You SHOULD have completed 3 tasks by the end of Term 1... I have not seen MANY tasks yet... I know that some of you have some under way, and I urge you to have some handed into Mrs Morrie soon!
ANOTHER GALA NOTE...
Gala - help needed...
The Gala is now 2 weeks away now and there are still a large number of spaces to be filled on the roster to help on food stalls at the Gala. We need your help!
We have broken the night down into 2 different shifts : 4pm-5.30 or 5.30-7pm. Please let Krissie know if you are available and which shift suits you best. Each stall will have most of the food preparation done so your job will be nice and easy. We can't run the gala without help from the parents in our community so please step up and get involved.
Please text or email Krissie with your availability. I look forward to hearing from you.
